      ACEEU accreditation embeds sustainability

In an era where sustainability is paramount, universities have a critical role to play in driving sustainable development. The ACEEU's Engaged University Accreditation offers a framework for institutions to showcase their commitment to this cause. This accreditation is not merely a recognition, it is an affirmation of a university's dedication to engagement with societal challenges, which can be showcased through sustainability initiatives.

Applying for the Engaged University Accreditation allows institutions to underscore their efforts in promoting sustainable development. It highlights how engagement extends beyond academia, shaping a sustainable future through research, teaching, and community involvement. It reflects an institution's commitment to education and societal transformation.

A great example is the Business Institute in Denmark (see image) which embeds the SDGs into its strategy and directs its engagement activities towards contributing to sustainable development. Business Institute has achieved ACEEU Engaged University Accreditation in 2023.

        GreenComp and ACEEU projects!

Discover GreenComp: Your key to sustainable excellence!

According to the European Commission, GreenComp is a reference framework for sustainability competences!  Designed to empower learners and guide educators, it sets the standard for sustainability competences.

In ACEEU, we are proud to contribute to implementing GreenComp through three projects: Digistainability, ESG4SMEs, and Start-DSP!

The Digistainability project brings together higher education institutions to identify the digital and green essential skills for marketing professionals towards a future sustainable world.

ESG4SMEs aims at empowering SMEs in the AgrI-food sector to embrace sustainability. From supporting professional development in ESG (Environmental, social and governance) practices to foster skills development for VET learners, ESG4SMEs is leading the change towards a more sustainable economy one SME at a time.

The Start-DSP project seeks to enhance Entrepreneurial Education by integrating green (sustainable) competencies and accentuate the significance of sustainable practices within successful digital business models among entrepreneurs.

As we move towards a more sustainable future, the inclusion of the GreenComp and ACEEU projects marks a significant milestone in our collective efforts to drive positive change. From addressing the digital and sustainability skills gap in marketing through Digistainability, to helping rural SMEs transition to a sustainable economy through ESG4SMEs, to promoting digital business models through Start-DSP, we are shaping a brighter, greener future.
