ACEEU brings together accreditation and EU funded projects to help universities deliver real societal impact. Our work supports institutions in embedding entrepreneurship and engagement at the core of institutional excellence.
Projects
From our EU Projects Unit, this month we share updates from four of our European projects contributing to SDG 4: Quality Education. From digital engagement to cybersecurity skills, these initiatives are helping shape more inclusive and future-ready higher education across Europe.
The AI Leaders project has released a new set of Open Educational Resources (OERs) for Business Management. Designed for educators and learners alike, these free resources explore how AI is transforming areas like marketing, leadership, and decision-making. Each module includes case studies, hands-on activities, and interactive tools.
CyberSecPro wrapped up with its final Entrepreneurship and Cybersecurity summit in Lisbon on 21 January 2026. The event brought together cybersecurity experts, investors, and policymakers to discuss skills, innovation, and entrepreneurship. A fitting close to a project building Europe's cyber talent pipeline through quality education.
ESG4SMEs has launched its free online course and interactive mission game—now available in English, German, Italian, Greek, and Slovenian. The course, hosted on the Academy platform, helps SMEs integrate sustainability into their operations, while the game offers a hands-on way to explore ESG principles in action.
The ANGIE project is building a European university network to advance green skills and climate awareness. Through training programmes, a postgraduate curriculum, and open resources, it equips educators and professionals with the competencies needed for the green transition, directly contributing to SDG 4.
ACEEU re-accreditation transforms progress into strategic impact. It reinforces entrepreneurship and engagement as embedded priorities, demonstrates development since initial accreditation, and aligns institutions with future strategic ambitions. Through peer-based review and international recognition, ACEEU re-accreditation supports internal coherence, global positioning, and the next phase of institutional evolution.
Our unique approach
ACEEU re-accreditation process reflects on the past by capturing key changes and lessons learned since the initial accreditation, assesses the present through a focused performance evaluation, and explores the future by discussing strategic priorities, goals, and development plans. By explicitly integrating emerging themes such as AI and digitalisation, sustainability, and micro-credentials, ACEEU’s approach turns accreditation into a strategic dialogue about the future of HEIs.
ACEEU Spotlight Magazine highlights the people and institutions driving meaningful change in higher education. This months articles features two standout examples of how collaboration and inclusion fuel impactful engaged research.
Patrik Toula reflects on why successful research collaboration depends less on structures and more on people. Drawing on the experience of the ELLS Research Support Office, the article shows how trust, strong staff profiles, and long-term partnerships turn transnational collaboration into a strategic asset for universities.
Senior Lecturer Jeanette Cotterill highlights the ITS Capstone Program at the University of Canberra, showing how authentic industry, government, and community projects embedded in the curriculum close the skills gap while advancing universities’ Third Mission. The program demonstrates how engagement and entrepreneurship become core drivers of education.
