Building your own Digital Innovation Acceleration Programme

Already before, but especially since the COVID-19 has hit higher education, more and more entrepreneurship and innovation activities have gone digital. While digital solutions struggle to replicate the "personal approach", many advantages such as international collaborations and a less resource-intensive scalability can be acknowledged.

As a result, universities are looking for solutions to generate, develop and implement innovative ideas through a primarily digital programme. More specifically, Digital Accelerators have received a growing interest. This webinar will provide you with an example of how a German university has implemented a digital acceleration programme since 2020. The programme has been used by bachelor and master students alike. The programme has been used internally (own students) but also become the central element of an international course that brings together more than 130 students from 7 countries.

The webinar will showcase the setup, outline lessons learned and give recommendations on how universities can build their own digital acceleration programme.

The webinar will be held by Prof. Dr. Thorsten Kliewe. He is Full professor for Innovation Management and Business Development at FH Münster University of Applied Sciences in Germany and Managing Director of the Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre at the same university. Thorsten is also Chair of ACEEU and has shaped the future of university-industry relationships through co-founding and serving as Chair of UIIN from 2012 to 2020.
