ACEEU launches toolkit to develop the entrepreneurial profile of higher education institutions

ACEEU is happy to announce the launch of the Entrepreneurial University Toolkit. The Toolkit contains five instruments that help university representatives to develop the entrepreneurial profile of their institution: quick assessment survey, canvas, cards, good practice database and pathfinder.

"In the past, we have spend a lot of time on developing a robust evaluation framework and we missed to create appropriate management tools that support the development of the entrepreneurial profile of universities. Now we have these tools and we are happy to provide them to the international community.", says Prof. Dr. Thorsten Kliewe, Chair of ACEEU.

The Quick Assessment survey is a self-evaluation tool to get an overview of the dimensions and standards that require most attention. After filling in an online survey, users can access the visual analysis of the results.

The Entrepreneurial University Canvas and Cards allow users to map their own universities current situation, identify areas for improvement and design future steps. The Canvas functions as a framework to note down results whilst the cards guide the analysis by detailing the 15 standards with guiding questions and examples.

The good practice database provides insights into practical cases, in other words examples of universities that have thrived in a specific entrepreneurial aspect. The cases can help users in their analysis and development of their institution.

Lastly, the Entrepreneurial Pathfinder supports the future action planning to enhance a universities entrepreneurial profile.

"All tools are available for free. In the next months, we will also publish a teachers guide, showcasing how university teachers can use the tools as a learning tool for future higher education leaders and staff", Kliewe adds.
