FOODTRACK
Project
Training the next generation of researchers and professionals on food authenticity testing
FOODTRACK aims to strengthen European higher education and professional training in food authenticity testing and fraud detection. The project develops a European Skills Framework and modular curriculum combining analytical chemistry, spectroscopy, molecular techniques, chemometrics, AI-assisted data analysis and regulatory knowledge. An open digital platform will host learning materials, datasets, case studies and assessments, supporting online preparation, hybrid training and blended laboratory placements. Certification and micro-credentials will document acquired competences. Targeting Master's and doctoral students, early-career researchers and academic staff, FOODTRACK connects universities, technical centres and industry through practical training, webinars, workshops and challenge-based hackathons, supporting transferable skills and cross-border cooperation.
ACEEU's Role: Quality Assurance and Certification Leader
ACEEU leads quality assurance under WP1, developing the Quality Assurance Plan, maintaining monitoring tools and KPI dashboards, and producing annual assessments and a final evaluation report. It also prepares the Dissemination and Exploitation Plan and supports European outreach. In WP2, ACEEU leads European-level focus groups on skills needs and contributes to validation of the skills framework and curriculum. In WP3, it leads certification and micro-credential development, aligning learning outcomes, workload and assessment criteria with European frameworks. It also leads the sustainability and impact roadmap, tests the digital platform and analyses training feedback. In WP4, ACEEU reviews the blended mobility scheme, contributes to hackathon preparation and proposes learning assessments. Its leadership responsibilities are at activity level rather than whole-work-package level.
