GREENEDGE Project

Advancing Sustainable Entrepreneurship in Higher Education Through AI-Based Gamified Learning and Virtual Innovation
The GreenEdge project addresses the urgent need for sustainable entrepreneurship by equipping higher education students, educators, and aspiring entrepreneurs with green skills through innovative, gamified learning pathways and a virtual incubator. By fostering collaboration between HEIs and businesses, the project provides practical tools, mentorship, and resources to support the development of circular economy solutions. To achieve this, GreenEdge offers microcredential-based learning pathways, an AI-driven gamified course to personalise learning and boost engagement, and a gamified virtual incubator where students can test and refine sustainable business ideas with guidance from mentors and industry partners. Through these activities, the project enhances employability, promotes sustainability, and empowers students to create innovative, scalable green businesses with lasting environmental impact.
ACEEU's Role:
In the GreenEdge project, ACEEU leads the development of the overall framework for the micro-credential pathways, ensuring that competencies, skills, and learning outcomes defined by all partners are aligned with European standards such as the EQF and ECTS, and designing the final version of the framework document. ACEEU also develops a mentoring framework, including clear guidelines and evaluation criteria, to support productive mentor–mentee interactions. In addition, ACEEU leads Dissemination and Sustainability of Project Results, coordinating with partners to create a strategy that ensures the project’s objectives, progress, outcomes, and findings are effectively communicated to higher education institutions, students, policymakers, and the wider public interested in sustainable entrepreneurship.
