We are pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the GRIT Project, marking the end of two years of impactful collaboration, innovation, and research. The final milestone of the project took place at the Society 5.0 Conference Society 5.0 Conference , during a dynamic workshop co-led by partners from the University of Sibiu, University of Maribor, University of Zaragoza, and ACEEU. In this session, participants explored and reflected on core research competences through design thinking activities. The workshop also showcased how sentiment analysis can be conducted in real time using text generated by the participants, demonstrating one of the innovative methodologies developed within the GRIT Project.
This workshop served as a valuable opportunity to celebrate the project’s key achievements, including the development and application of cutting-edge approaches in machine learning, sentiment analysis, and gamification to enhance learning experiences and drive innovation in Higher Education. At the core of these achievements are three key results, made possible through strong interdisciplinary collaboration across the partnership, combining expertise in areas such as data science, machine learning, psychology, and education:
1. A Handbook on key competences for study and research in a changing world
2. A Serious Game, inspired by escape room mechanics, to strengthen learners' research skills and engagement
3. An AI Model for predicting grit and academic success, offering new perspectives for personalized learning and support strategies
We thank all our partners and contributors for their dedication and are excited to see how the outcomes of GRIT will continue to inspire future initiatives.
