The I-RESTART project has successful completed its pilot training programme, demonstrating the growing demand for flexible, industry-focused learning in the European agri-food sector.
The pilot programme exceeded expectations by reaching 688 learners from across Europe. The trainings provided professionals and aspiring workers with practical knowledge in key areas including food processing, animal production, veterinary activities, One Health, and entrepreneurial skills, supporting both reskilling and upskilling within the sector.
Participant feedback further highlights the success of the initiative. Nearly 80% of learners rated the training content as excellent, while almost half reported that the courses increased their interest in pursuing opportunities within the agri-food sector. These results demonstrate the value of targeted, practice-oriented education in preparing the workforce for emerging industry challenges.
