The DEEP DIALOGUE – De-Escalating Extremism & Polarisation through Dialogue project will tackle one of the most pressing challenges facing young people and democratic societies today: how polarisation, disinformation and extremism can contribute to pathways towards radicalisation, and how meaningful dialogue can help build trust, participation and social cohesion.
Led by Lund University the project brings together 14 partners from eight countries, including ACEEU, combining expertise from across Europe to turn research and dialogue-based approaches into meaningful societal impact. ACEEU will contribute its expertise in communication, dissemination and sustainability, supporting the project in strengthening its connection to stakeholders, sustaining impact and long-term uptake.
Funded with approximately €3.5 million under Horizon Europe Cluster 2: Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society, DEEP DIALOGUE will officially begin on 1 September 2026. Over the next three years, DEEP DIALOGUE partners will work together to better understand the dynamics behind polarisation and pathways towards radicalisation, explore and test dialogue-based approaches, and translate this knowledge into practical solutions that strengthen young people’s democratic participation, trust and social cohesion.
