UNICOM Partners find out nuts and bolts of Lund University third mission structures

From the 6th to the 9th of November 2023, Lund University hosted an enriching study visit at Lund as part of UNICOM project. The picturesque location at Helgonabacken 12, Lund, provided the backdrop for an agenda packed with insightful sessions and cultural explorations.

The visit commenced on the 6th with a warm welcome lunch, setting the tone for collaborative discussions. Anamaria Dutceac Segesten and Niklas Bernsand introduced participants to the program, highlighting its significance in fostering academic connections. Patrik Rydén from the LU Cooperation Office delved into the theme of cooperation, emphasizing the university's commitment to international partnerships. The day concluded with a guided tour led by Anamaria Dutceac Segesten through Lund's historical center, offering a glimpse into the city's rich cultural heritage.

On the 7th, the agenda dispersed across various locations. Lovisa Brännstedt, an expert in Classical Archaeology and Ancient History, led a session at Matematikhusets Annex on the HumTank initiative. Michael Bossetta from the Media and Communication Studies department explored the world of podcasting. The day ended with a guided tour and lecture at the Vattenhallen Science Center, engaging participants with interactive scientific exhibits.

The 8th of November focused on communication, featuring Ulrika Oredsson, the Press Officer at the Faculty Office. The day included a visit to Skissernas Museum, blending art and education. Diana Spulber from Genoa University led a coordination meeting, underscoring the importance of aligning efforts for successful collaboration.

LU Innovation took center stage on the 9th, with Sophie Hydén Picasso shedding light on the university's innovative endeavors. The study visit concluded with a final discussion, providing a platform for reflection and exchange of ideas among Anamaria Dutceac Segesten, Niklas Bernsand, and Diana Spulber.

The Unicom Lund Study Visit at Lund University seamlessly blended academic discourse with cultural immersion, offering participants a holistic experience. It served as a testament to the university's commitment to fostering global collaborations and enriching academic journeys.
