In July, ACEEU led the first LTTA in Münster as part of the ESG4SMEs project. The three-day event brought together sustainability experts and SME stakeholders, particularly from the agri-food sector, for hands-on workshops and collaborative exchange focused on embedding ESG principles into business operations.
The LTTA gave participants a hands-on look at how ESG principles come to life in real settings. They met with local changemakers like Ursula Wermelt (energieland2050 e. V.), Rike Kappler (Biobäckerei Cibaria), and Jana Gowitzke (fairTEiLBAR), gaining practical insights into how sustainability, fairness, and community values are woven into everyday work.
The participant’s journey combined inspiration, action, and discovery. At Cibaria Bakery, they learned about innovative ESG practices and tasted organic bread. At fairTEiLBAR, they explored creative ways to value food and reduce waste and rolled up their sleeves during an interactive fermentation workshop. Finally, they enjoyed a guided tour through Münster’s historic city center. The experience brought together learning, doing, and meaningful connections.
The LTTA also created connections with other EU initiatives, including those focused on ESGs in higher education such as the SHIFT project, strengthening cross-sector dialogue and collaboration.
Through this activity, ACEEU continues to support SMEs in navigating ESG challenges and building more resilient, responsible business models.
