On May 15, ACEEU hosted and facilitated the final meeting of the NUDGING Ethical Council, marking the culmination of the Council’s valuable contribution to the NUDGING 360° project. During the meeting, ethical council members shared and discussed their independent reviews of the 17 self-nudges developed by the project consortium. Similarly to the previous meeting, these evaluations were conducted in advance using a dedicated assessment tool designed by ACEEU and previously shared with all Council members.
The session was led by the Ethical Council Chair and facilitated by ACEEU. While most members shared similar views on specific self-nudges, the discussions and individual reviews sparked extremely insightful reflections and contributed to highlighting hidden aspects of self-nudges techniques.
Being this the Ethical Council’s final session, the meeting also provided an opportunity to reflect on the Council’s impactful journey throughout the project. Their critical insights and thoughtful dialogue have played a pivotal role in ensuring the ethical application of nudging and self-nudging techniques in higher education and will continue to inspire ethical practices in the process of fostering digitalization across higher education institutions.
In the next steps, project partners will integrate the council members feedback and considerations in the self-nudging and nudging toolkits developed for higher education educators and administrators to support them in increasing their digital readiness, with the result to contributing to a more digital educational environment.
