UNICOM Partners Learn European Best Practices During Study Visit to the Czech University of Life Sciences

Strengthening the Third Mission of universities requires learning from institutions that have successfully embedded community engagement into their teaching, research, and innovation activities. With this objective, partners of the Erasmus+ UNICOM project took part in a study visit to the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague from 1–4 October 2024.

The visit brought together representatives from the UNICOM consortium to exchange experiences on how universities can strengthen their role as catalysts for positive change within their communities. Participants explored successful approaches to university–community cooperation, knowledge transfer, international partnerships, and sustainable institutional development while learning how the Czech University of Life Sciences integrates the Third Mission into its everyday activities.

The programme included visits to the University's research facilities, laboratories, botanical gardens, and Career Centre, where participants gained valuable insights into supporting students' professional development and strengthening collaboration with employers. They also engaged with researchers and university leaders who shared practical examples of scientific cooperation with public and private organisations.

As the project's Quality Assurance Partner, ACEEU values opportunities that enable project partners to exchange good practices and learn from successful European models. The knowledge gained during the study visit contributes to the continuous improvement of the project and supports the development of stronger university–community partnerships in Ukraine.
