As the green transition transforms industries across Europe, the ANGIE project is creating new spaces for educators, researchers, and professionals to explore how sustainability can be integrated into teaching and training. With ACEEU leading piloting and dissemination, the project brings higher education and the WATERIC sectors together, enabling stronger collaboration across institutions.
On 4 November 2025, ACEEU participated in the second webinar of the ANGIE series “Producing Sustainability Through Education: Logistics and Environment.” The session brought together more than 60 participants from universities, research centres, industry, and organisations working across waste management, agriculture, transport, energy, and related fields. The session explored how logistics, transport, and education contribute to shaping a greener future.
Prof. Danut Savu from UCV opened the event by presenting the ANGIE Master’s Programme: Transition to Green for a Sustainable Society, illustrating how the graduate study programmes can equip future professionals for emerging sustainability challenges.
The discussion then moved into the transport domain, where MMag. Sophie Wiesinger from FHOO walked participants through the complexities and opportunities of Sustainable Multimodal Transport. Her presentation highlighted the role of integrated transport systems in reducing emissions and improving efficiency across logistical chains.
Prof. Andrej David, from UZ, followed with a deep dive into Maritime Transport as a Key Mode in Logistics. He provided insights into both the environmental pressures and innovation pathways within maritime logistics, emphasising the need for cleaner and more resilient transport solutions.
Closing the session, Prof. Ioan Hosu from UBB brought the focus back to education with Integrating the European Green Agenda in Education, emphasising how curricula must embed EU sustainability priorities to build the competencies needed for a greener future.
The webinar once again showcased ANGIE’s dedication to capacity building and cross-sector engagement. ACEEU continues to lead piloting and dissemination, with preparations for Webinar 3 already underway.
