The ESG Impact Index Open-Access Platform was officially launched on 27 May 2026 during an online event organised by the University of Lodz. The online session brought together academics, researchers, higher education staff, and members of the SHIFT project consortium. The goal of the event was to showcase the results developed in the project, especially the ESG platform.
The platform is a free, open-access online tool that allows higher education institutions (HEIs) to assess and improve their Environmental, Social, and Governance practices. Through the platform, institutions can take a self-assessment across ESG areas, explore their assessment data, identify areas for improvement, track progress over time, and compare their performance with other institutions.
During the event, participants were introduced to the main features of the platform, including its dashboard, scoring system, benchmarking functionalities, and reporting options.
ACEEU contributed to the platform development process by taking part in the internal validation of the platform architecture for debugging and external testing phase. ACEEU also invited stakeholders from its network to test the platform, share feedback, and suggest improvements.
By bringing ESG assessment, data visualisation, benchmarking, and practical recommendations together into one place, the platform can help HEIs move from ESG commitments to real, measurable impact.
