ACEEU Leads Training Needs Assessment for Yemeni Higher Education

As a key partner in the YHELD project, ACEEU is playing a central role in helping Yemeni universities assess their strengths and gaps in developing and implementing internationalisation strategies.

ACEEU conducted an in-depth assessment of the capacities, resources, and institutional structures of Yemeni universities through a questionnaire that examined governance frameworks, funding, digital infrastructure, and staff competence.

By mapping existing structures and resources, the universities are better positioned to evaluate their needs and make informed decisions about where to focus their efforts for change.

The results of the assessment will serve as a diagnostic tool that would enable the universities to build synergies and align their activities with broader internationalisation strategies. These insights will also guide the next phases of the YHELD project, including tailored training for university leadership, faculty, and international office staff.

Through this effort, ACEEU is equipping Yemeni universities to reflect on their resource and capacity needs and strengthen their strategies for internationalisation.
